Why i joined social media
What pushed me and made me stay on. Social media started of as a no go area for me. I used to see it as a time waster and it felt like a lotta work. I felt it was complicated and was for a particular kind of people. Mavis kept saying that, "Bee u need to get on WhatsApp...we could talk there". I always thought to myself, can't I see you? Can't we talk on phone? My reluctance was mainly because I didn't own a smart phone. I however signed on to facebook just to make my friends understand that I'm not 'colo' I came on WhatsApp and realized that it helped me to be mean when I want to without having to see the person's response. The cost of maintenance on social media ended up being less than the traditional text messages and phone calls. I realized that social media can be very entertaining if you are connected to lively people. Now here I sit, a victim of peer pressure...however addicted to this vice.
